Jordan receives triple tourism revenue

 Friday, August 19, 2022

On this Tuesday, a report was published that Jordan experienced a big increase in tourism revenue.

From the tourism sector, the Hashemite kingdom received $2.87 billion in revenue in the first seven months of this year.

This was a rise of 204.5%. During this time frame, over 2.5 million foreign tourists came to Jordan, as per the official Petra news agency report.

Tourism is accountable for around 20% of the gross domestic product of Jordan. Tourists visit Jordan, which brags about its improved security and stability compared to many of its adjoining countries from around the world. During the summers, many Saudis visit Jordan to run away from the boiling temperatures in their own countries. Also, there are many European and US visitors as well as tourists from Israel.
