Thomas Cook India bags ‘MICE operator of the Year’ at ET Travel Awards

Thomas Cook (India) Limited, the country’s premier omnichannel travel services company, has been presented with the prestigious ‘MICE Travel Operator of the Year’ award at The Economic Times Travel & Tourism Annual Awards. The second edition of The Economic Times Travel and Tourism Annual Awards served as a gathering ground for key leaders in the travel and tourism industry. The selection process, overseen by a distinguished grand jury and validated by Ernst & Young, involved comprehensive criteria.

Thomas Cook’s MICE Team earned recognition for its outstanding performance over the past year. The company was chosen by the Government of India to orchestrate a variety of prestigious events, including managing 41 events across 31 cities for India’s G20 Summit, overseeing accommodation, catering, and transportation services for approximately 17,000 guests at the 37th National Games in Goa, and handling 20,500 customers for Khelo India 2023.

The award acknowledges Thomas Cook’s unwavering commitment and exceptional execution in organizing mid to large Corporate MICE movements, involving 100 to over 2000 delegates/customers, to a diverse array of destinations. These destinations include Iceland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Dubai, Denmark, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Japan, Turkey, Thailand, Africa, and Kenya. Additionally, they have managed events in Kashmir, Goa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala in India.

Thomas Cook established and capitalized on robust partnerships and alliances to provide unique experiences for its MICE corporate clients. Noteworthy experiences range from setting up a special food truck near Iceland’s Skógafoss to the Chocolate Train Experience in Switzerland, a supercar experience in Ferraris at an exclusive circuit in Modena (Ferrari’s birthplace), a regatta sailing experience in Barcelona, a Harley-Davidson bike ride through Cape Town, and a self-drive in a supercar from Germany to Austria in one day, among others.
