Tourism Australia has unveiled that travel and tourism communications, Turner, has been chosen to help its PR and communication activities in North America.
Turner will put into practice and run a brand marketing approach via consumer and trade media, advocacy relations, influencer, social media, issues management and consumer, media events and stakeholder.
The company will supervise Faulhaber Communications, its partner agency to help the Canadian market. The vice president of North America, Tourism Australia, Chris Allison, explained that the meeting is essential to give confidence to the consumers of North America to select Australia for their next big vacation.
Allison said that North America is one of their most significant markets in the world, and the experience of Turner, relationships and integrated ideas helping varied audiences is exactly what they are looking for to uphold the stature of Australia as one of the leading tourism destinations of the world and support travellers to find out what is on offer Down Under.
Befor the pandemic, the United States was the second largest market of Australia and Canada was 13th largest market in terms of total visitor spending, generating in 2019 a combined AUD $4.8 billion in total expenditure.
In tourism marketing, Tourism Australia is a world leader; their imagination and novelty in this space has motivated many who work in this field, said Angela Berardino, chief strategy officer at Turner.
