Tourism Ireland in Spain has revealed the captivating details of the Belfast 2024 cultural program at an event in Barcelona. The gathering drew the attendance of 35 prominent Spanish travel professionals and journalists.
Representatives from three Belfast-based tourism companies—Belfast Millie Tours, Titanic Distillers, and Visit Belfast—partnered with Tourism Ireland for the occasion. Attendees were treated to the musical talents of Belfast-born singer-songwriter Winnie Ama and received updates on exciting new tourism offerings in Belfast.
Belfast 2024 promises a year brimming with culture and creativity, leveraging the city’s UNESCO City of Music status and its esteemed literary heritage. This initiative presents Tourism Ireland with a compelling opportunity to showcase Northern Ireland to Spanish travelers seeking deeper cultural experiences. The event also underscored the accessibility of Northern Ireland from this region of Spain, with convenient direct flights operated by easyJet from Barcelona to Belfast.
Susan Bolger, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Spain, said: “We were delighted to unveil some of the highlights of Belfast 2024 at our event in Barcelona to our important Spanish travel professionals and journalists. Our aim is to inspire Spanish holidaymakers to put Belfast and Northern Ireland on their holiday ‘wish-list’ for this year, to come and discover more about our culture.
