Aidan Power named Tourism Ireland’s Marketing Director, set to boost international tourism from Dublin office starting late February.
Tourism Ireland has revealed that Aidan Power will take on the role of Director of Marketing. Scheduled to begin his tenure at the end of February, Power will operate from the Dublin office of Tourism Ireland. His duties will encompass overseeing strategy and insights, advancing the organization’s approach to marketing communications, creativity, and media, as well as enhancing partnerships. His efforts aim to boost the contribution of international tourism to Ireland. Power will spearhead the creation of compelling content designed to attract prospective travelers and work closely with Tourism Ireland’s global teams, alongside stakeholders in the tourism industry and governmental bodies.
Commenting on the appointment, Alice Mansergh, Tourism Ireland’s Chief Executive Designate, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Aidan Power to this key strategic position in our organisation, following an extensive competition with a strong international response. He brings a wealth of experience and a very strong track record of achievement to the role. He takes up this important post of Director of Marketing at an exciting time, as Tourism Ireland works to increase the value of overseas tourism to the island of Ireland, sustainably supporting economies, communities and the environment.”
Before his new role at Tourism Ireland, Power served as the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Corporate Affairs at KBC Bank Ireland. His previous experiences also include positions at EBS Building Society and Musgraves.
