Tourism Malaysia Celebrates Fifth Consecutive Victory as National Tourism Organisation of the Year at 2024/2025 Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards

Tourism Malaysia has achieved a remarkable milestone, being crowned National Tourism Organisation of the Year for the fifth consecutive year at the prestigious 15th Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards (ITTA) for 2024/2025. This accolade reinforces its position as a trailblazer in the global tourism sector.

The awards ceremony, organized by the ITTA Foundation, took place on December 17 in North Jakarta, celebrating excellence in the travel and tourism industry. The ITTA Foundation, established in 2010, operates as a non-governmental organization supported by Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism, aiming to foster innovation and growth in the tourism domain.

Tourism Malaysia Jakarta Director Hairi Mohd Yakzan received the award from ITTA Foundation President Panca R. Sarungu in a glittering event attended by industry leaders and dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Hairi attributed the organization’s success to the collaborative efforts of his dedicated team and the steadfast support from Tourism Malaysia’s headquarters.

This recognition highlights Tourism Malaysia’s commitment to promoting the country as a premier travel destination while continuing to strengthen ties within the Southeast Asian tourism community.

“This success is the result of our teamwork, as well as the unwavering encouragement from headquarters,” he told Bernama after receiving the award.

“Their constant motivation drives us to work tirelessly, advancing the tourism industry and further elevating Malaysia’s profile on the international stage.”

Looking ahead, Hairi said the award would inspire the team to continue their efforts to attract more Indonesian tourists.

“This recognition fuels our determination as we target 4.2 million Indonesian tourists in 2024 and aim to make Visit Malaysia Year 2026 a resounding success, with a goal of 4.7 million Indonesian visitors.”

This latest accolade extends Tourism Malaysia’s impressive winning streak, having previously secured the title in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
