Tourism ministry discloses G20 tourism dashboard

As the G20 presidency of India pulls to a closure with the much expected G20 summit, on September 9 th and 10 th , in meeting in New Delhi, the ministry of tourism, India, has disclosed the G20 Tourism &Sustainable Development Goals dashboard. The union minister, G Kishan Reddy, launched the dashboard virtually.


Herein, it was done in the presence of the UNWTO representatives, UNEP, the knowledge partner, hand-pick tourism ministers from States, senior officials and stakeholders of private industry.

While opening the dashboard, Reddy explained that it’s a great skill and heritage of the G20 presidency of India to world tourism and the same would motivate the tourism practitioners to direct the sector on the trail of development that’s sustainable and responsible in moving forward. The minister emphasizing the
dashboard, a “beacon of knowledge”, also said that it will help the tourism stakeholders to work as a team to create the benchmarks in terms of world tourism via sharing as well as integrating the best practices in sustainable tourism.


The ministry of tourism, as part of the G20 presidency, had arranged four main working group meetings closing with a meeting of G20 tourism ministers in Goa confirming a planned Goa roadmap for tourism in G20 countries.
