Triple-digit heat is consuming income objectives for trades that rely on summer tourism.

The city of New Braunfels is greatly reliant on tourism every summer.

Last year, the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce traced a record-breaking year, stated Jonathan Packer
the CEO and President.

Packer said that till spring break of this year, they were equivalent to record-breaking figures as that of last
year.

However, hotel stopovers started declining, said Packer. Up to now, they are witnessing a 3% to 4%
residency level fall compared to 2022, but considering that it was a record-breaking year, it is still a decent
summer, opined Packer.

Packer said that it still stayed an eventful summer, just not as eventful as it can be when the climate is a little more encouraging.

Business holders Jennifer and Dennis Wilson stated that summer vacations are still full of activity, but they
have observed lesser gatherings. They said that numerous of their reservations were done at the last
moment.

Both of them said that they reserved three accommodations in the last 24 hours, during the
beginning of Labor Day weekend.
