For the 2022 Oregon Travel and Tourism Industry Achievement Awards, the Oregon Tourism Commission has declared the recipients last night. It would be presented at the 2023 Oregon Governor’s Tourism Conference at the Oregon Convention Center located in Portland.

Few of the following categories are mentioned herein where the 2022 Oregon Travel and Tourism Industry Achievement Awards were declared:

The Oregon Governor’s Tourism Award represents the conclusion of their deep admiration of the industry for the long-time commitment, followed by success and service by an individual who have played role in improving visitor experience of the Oregon and enhanced the travel and tourism industry. Governor Kotek in 2023 awarded two recipients with the Tourism Award of the Oregon Governor.

Travel Lane County, the first recipient, hosted Oregon22 in July 2022, greeting over170, 000 visitors worldwide, including roughly 2,000 athletes coming from 200 countries to contend at Hayward Field of the University of Oregon. Besides these players, their friends, family members and press worldwide took part in it; many of them had come to Oregon for the first time. Best wishes to Travel Lane County and appreciate for welcoming the world to Oregon.

Bobbie Conner, the second Governor’s Award recipient. It’s a member of the Confederated Tribes of Umatilla Indian Reservation. The ancestry of Bobbie is Cayuse, Umatilla and Nez Perce. She is a community and state leader along with curator, museum director, speaker and a writer.
