The Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) in Chennai, India, recently wrapped up, marking its continued success with effective business meetings and enlightening discussions. Positioned as a preeminent city in India’s metropolitan lineup and a dynamic tourism center, Chennai hosted the TTF, the foremost travel trade show in the Southern circuit, scheduled just before the onset of summer holidays.

From the 15th to the 17th of March, the TTF Chennai 2024 edition illuminated Tamil Nadu with its assembly of various exhibitors, industry experts, and tourism aficionados, fostering three days of networking, collaboration, and discovery. The event, showcasing over 160 exhibitors including both domestic and international travel brands, became a vital segment of the TTF series, facilitating significant interactions and partnerships. This three-day affair commenced with exclusive B2B sessions for the first 1.5 days, opening up to both B2B and B2C audiences for the latter part, providing an unmatched opportunity for general visitors and vacation planners to explore new destinations and grab exciting offers for their next summer trips. The exhibition saw an attendance of more than 3,000 trade visitors and travel enthusiasts.

The spotlight was on Tamil Nadu, the Host State, which, along with 14 co-participants, showcased its stunning landscapes and tourist spots, thereby promoting engagement and forging enduring connections. Tamil Nadu is celebrated as one of India’s premier travel destinations. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, also played a significant role, highlighting their initiatives.

The event facilitated a rich cultural exchange and economic growth by featuring unique attractions from various Indian states and international destinations, including Bihar, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Telangana, each presenting their unique attractions. Noteworthy participation came from both the private sector within India and countries such as Nepal and Thailand, with notable entities like SOTC Travel Ltd., Riya Travels, The Nest Luxury Resorts, and others making their mark.

Exhibitors spanned a broad spectrum, representing travel agencies, tour operators, hospitality services, destination management companies (DMCs), and tourist attractions, making TTF Chennai 2024 a comprehensive and vibrant platform for the travel and tourism industry.

“TTF Chennai 2024 had a great turn-out this year. Our exhibitors saw a lot of enquiries from
trade visitors and travel lovers! We would like to thank all participants, exhibitors, and visitors,
our sponsors, and partners, for their unwavering support and participation,” stated Sanjiv
Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media Ltd., the organisers of the event.
“Your
enthusiasm and dedication have been a source of encouragement and motivation for us to
continue to expand our reach and size, year after year. We look forward to welcoming you to the
next edition of TTF in Kolkata,” he added.

The three-day gathering attracted a large number of participants from the travel industry across Southern India, including both newcomers and established entities. The TTF series stands as India’s most venerable and expansive travel trade show network, aimed at delivering premier marketing opportunities to foster tourism across India’s key travel hubs. The series extends beyond Chennai to include cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Patna.

Looking ahead to 2024, the outlook for travel and tourism is promising, and to capitalize on this anticipated demand, the organizers have scheduled upcoming events in the TTF series. These include TTF Kolkata from July 12 to 14, TTF Ahmedabad from August 7 to 9, and TTF Patna on September 27 and 28. Additionally, BLTM will be held in Delhi from August 29 to 31. These events are expected to draw significant attendance from the travel industry, enthusiasts, and media, further stimulating growth within the sector.
