The upcoming TV series “Shh, the King Is Hibernating,” to be shot in Jilin City, Northeast China, is anticipated to highlight the area’s breathtaking landscapes and aid in boosting the local tourism sector.

During a recent visit to Jilin by the drama’s production team, discussions were held with Hu Bin, the Party secretary of Jilin, about fostering the synergy between the ice and snow sports industry and cultural tourism. Hu Bin has assured the drama’s team of Jilin’s full support, including the formation of a specialized team to ensure the project’s successful completion.

The narrative of the TV series, which revolves around themes of romance, ice, and joy, is in harmony with Jilin’s ambiance. The city’s renowned Beidahu and Songhuahu Ski Resorts, known as some of China’s premier skiing destinations, are set to play a crucial role in the filming, promising mutual benefits.

Liu Ning, the producer of the drama, expressed their intention to work closely with Jilin to produce a high-caliber drama. The project aims to spotlight China’s burgeoning ice and snow industry, hoping to inspire a wider appreciation for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding.

The drama will feature Lin Yi and Yu Shuyin in leading roles, with Olympic champion Wu Dajing also expected to enhance the cast. Through its engaging storyline and picturesque setting, the series is poised to not only entertain but also draw attention to Jilin’s winter sports facilities, potentially attracting more tourists to the region and propelling the growth of tourism.
