Vail Resorts Welcomes Courtney Goldstein as Executive VP and CMO, Boosting Digital Innovation and Subscription Growth

Vail Resorts, Inc. made an announcement today regarding the appointment of Courtney Goldstein as the executive vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO), effective April 29, 2024. Bringing over twenty years of experience from Comcast and American Express, Goldstein will report directly to CEO Kirsten Lynch and become an integral part of the company’s executive team.

“Courtney has a proven track record of growing subscription business models by leveraging data and technology,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief executive officer of Vail Resorts. “Her leadership and experience will be valuable as our company continues to grow the Epic Pass subscription model, launches an innovative new gear membership business, My Epic Gear, and innovates the guest experience through digital technology such as Mobile Pass and My Epic Assistant in the My Epic app.”

Goldstein brings a wealth of experience from her roles at Comcast and American Express to her new position at Vail Resorts. At Comcast, she held various senior leadership positions over a decade, culminating in her role as senior vice president of consumer marketing, growth, and engagement. Throughout her time in leadership, she led the charge in revolutionizing the Xfinity consumer journey through the adoption of data-driven performance marketing strategies, utilizing AI, and embracing cutting-edge technologies.. Additionally, she led initiatives in ecommerce and digital media. Prior to Comcast, Goldstein spent a decade at American Express, where she served as vice president of consumer card prospect acquisition & customer marketing strategy. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Goldstein will oversee various aspects of the company’s operations, including its Epic Pass business, data analytics, and digital experiences. Additionally, she will manage marketing efforts for the company’s prestigious mountain destinations, the newly introduced My Epic Gear membership business, as well as its rental, retail, and ski and ride school enterprises.
