In the wake of the wildfires impacting the Valparaíso Region, Chile’s tourism industry has instituted restrictions in light of the devastating incidents prompting national grief. The Chilean government has assured that the nation’s primary sites and tourist services across all regions remain open and ready to welcome international visitors.

In response to the fires, and as a precaution, officials have specifically urged tourists in Viña del Mar to exercise caution and heed the guidance of Chile’s national authorities. Consequently, visitors in affected zones are encouraged to enable ‘Emergency Roaming’ to maintain communication and adhere to directives issued by the central government.

Regarding connectivity, Chilean officials have verified that communication networks within Chile are fully functional. Flights within the country, to both northern and southern destinations, are operating as scheduled. Nonetheless, travelers are advised to verify their flight statuses with airlines due to potential disruptions caused by varying weather conditions.
