Vietjet earned World’s Safest Airline for 2024 recognition

Vietjet has once again earned recognition as one of the world’s safest airlines for 2024, according to AirlineRatings, a prominent airline safety and product rating website. Vietjet has consistently maintained a prestigious seven-star rating, the highest global accolade for aviation safety, since 2018.

In its annual assessment, AirlineRatings scrutinized 385 global airlines, evaluating incident records, fleet age, results of audits by aviation governing bodies, such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and compliance with other aviation authorities. Vietjet, alongside renowned low-cost carriers like Ryanair, easyJet, Frontier, and others, secured a place in the top 10 for several consecutive years. This recognition underscores their outstanding commitment to flight safety, benefiting both flight crews and passengers.

Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings.com, commended Vietjet for its unwavering dedication to fostering a safety-centric culture across all operational facets. He highlighted the airline’s notable achievements in maintaining technical reliability and ensuring the highest standards of safety, particularly as it expands its flight network.

Vietjet continues to enhance its fleet with new, modern, and fuel-efficient aircraft, boasting an impressive technical reliability rate of 99.72%, positioning it among the top operators regionally and globally. The airline places a strong emphasis on continuous investment in training, aircraft engineering, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services to uphold the highest standards in safety and quality.

In a recent milestone, Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) achieved recognition as a training partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This partnership underscores Vietjet’s commitment to nurturing a high-quality aviation workforce, further contributing to the airline’s reputation for excellence in safety and operational standards.
