Vietnam Airlines among Asia Pacific top 10 punctual airlines

Vietnam Airlines (VNA), the national flag carrier and a 4-star airline of Vietnam, has secured a position among the top 10 most punctual airlines in the Asia Pacific region, according to Cirium, a leading authority in aviation analytics, as revealed in The On-Time Performance Review 2023.

Notably, Vietnam Airlines stands as the sole Vietnamese carrier to earn a spot in this prestigious ranking. The report, unveiled in January 2024, draws on a comprehensive dataset derived from over 600 global sources of real-time flight information. These sources encompass published schedules, government agencies, civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports, and major airline reservation systems.

Vietnam Airlines clinched the 9th position, sharing the spotlight with esteemed international counterparts such as Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia, further solidifying the airline’s reputation for reliability among passengers.

In the year 2023, Vietnam Airlines successfully operated 150,674 flights, achieving an on-time arrival percentage of 77.46%, surpassing the regional average of 73.51%. An on-time arrival is defined as the arrival of a passenger flight at the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.

Adding to its accolades, Airline Ratings recognized Vietnam Airlines as one of the top 20 airlines globally in 2023. The airline also received prestigious awards from the World Travel Awards, a testament to its unwavering commitment to enhancing service quality.
