Virgin Atlantic, renowned for its chic aesthetics, has unveiled its inaugural lifestyle assortment today, featuring an array of stylish attire and eco-friendly vegan leather travel essentials, all meticulously crafted to enhance every facet of the passenger journey.

In partnership with esteemed sustainable British designers Fenella Smith and Oliver Co, this collection draws inspiration from the discerning tastes of Virgin Atlantic’s affluent clientele. Frequent requests from travelers for travel necessities like passport covers and travel totes prompted the airline to collaborate with these renowned British designers to bring these desires to fruition.

Among the standout offerings is the iconic ‘Queen of the Skies’ sweater (£70), a nod to the legendary ‘Fly Virgin Atlantic’ sweatshirt famously donned by Princess Diana in the 1980s. This sweater is available in two elegant shades, classic navy and cream, fashioned from exceptionally soft cotton—a versatile choice for any occasion, whether on the runway or off.

The Virgin Atlantic lifestyle assortment also includes a sweater adorned with the airline’s LGBTQ+ symbol, Oscar, prominently featured on the side of Virgin Atlantic’s ‘Rain Bow’ aircraft. This aircraft represents Virgin Atlantic’s longstanding commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, exemplified by its recent updates to its gender identity policy, offering employees the choice to select the iconic uniforms that best align with their identity, irrespective of gender or gender expression.

Virgin Atlantic’s steadfast dedication to enhancing the passenger experience, both in-flight and on the ground, is central to this collection. It encompasses contemporary and luxurious items such as a canvas travel tote (£90), a flight bag (£95), sweaters, and t-shirts featuring the airline’s signature flying motifs (£70/£35), a Runway-ready pouch (£60), High Flyer passport holders (£70), Hello luggage tags (£40), and Virgin Atlantic playing cards (£12). Each item seamlessly incorporates Virgin Atlantic’s instantly recognizable red hue. In addition to these travel essentials, the airline will offer its pronoun badges for purchase for the first time since their introduction last year, aligning with the updated uniform policy.

As the flag carrier of Britain, this collaboration with sustainable British designers Fenella Smith and Oliver Co underscores Virgin Atlantic’s commitment to championing British design while emphasizing its environmental responsibilities. This lifestyle collection authentically captures the essence of the Virgin Atlantic brand and its dedication to curating thoughtful experiences for its passengers and personnel.

Furthermore, the items designed in partnership with Oliver Co, including the passport holder, luggage tag, landing gear pouch, and card holder, are fashioned from tea-based plant leather—a nod to British tradition. This tea-based alternative consumes less energy during production compared to other plant-based leathers that utilize fruit waste, which demands energy-intensive drying processes.
