Manchester Airport

In June, Virgin Atlantic introduces a new flight route from Manchester Airport to Las Vegas, positioning Manchester as the only UK city besides London to offer direct flights to the US West Coast.

Vegas welcomes families with a plethora of attractions that entertain both children and adults, serving as an ideal gateway for exploring the West Coast’s offerings.

This guide highlights some of the most incredible and unique attractions in the so-called ‘Entertainment Capital of the World.’

Experience breathtaking views from the High Roller, the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, standing at 550 feet. It offers panoramic vistas of the city, its landmarks, and the surrounding landscape, especially mesmerizing with the night lights of the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas’ replicas of global landmarks offer a day’s adventure. Marvel at the scale of its Eiffel Tower, complete with a Paris-themed observation deck, or the larger-than-life Luxor Sphinx. Navigate the canals at The Venetian, enjoy the gondoliers’ serenades, and visit replicas of the Statue of Liberty, Trevi Fountain, and Arc de Triomphe.

For a unique experience, visit Mandalay Bay Beach, an oasis in the desert featuring 2,700 tons of sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool, alongside a water park and ‘Lazy River.’

Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas, the oldest in the US, showcases wax figures of over 100 celebrities, focusing on music legends, alongside stars from other entertainment spheres.

The Mirage Volcano offers a safe, spectacular eruption show with fire and water effects, free for all visitors.

Explore the aquatic world at Shark Reef Aquarium in Mandalay Bay, home to one of North America’s largest tanks and over 2,000 marine animals, including sharks and sea turtles.

Experience the excitement of an NFL game with the Las Vegas Raiders at the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium.

Las Vegas is also a starting point for exploring iconic American landscapes and cities. It’s close enough for day trips to the Grand Canyon and Death Valley, and road trips can extend to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sequoia National Forest, Yosemite, and the scenic Big Sur.
