Special recognition is extended to the Greenville-Pitt County CVB and the Greenville Convention Center for their efforts in guaranteeing a memorable experience for every attendee in Greenville.

The conference kicked off on Sunday with an opening reception, setting the stage for attendees to mingle and connect during a vibrant downtown block party. Monday saw the convergence of tourism, business, and government leaders for illuminating keynotes and informative sessions, followed by additional engagements on Tuesday morning. Secretary of Commerce Machelle Sanders delivered an address emphasizing tourism’s role in economic development. Before the Awards Lunch on Monday, Governor Roy Cooper underscored the significance of tourism to the state, highlighting various achievements. The concluding lunch on Wednesday provided a glimpse into next year’s Visit NC Tourism Conference slated for Hickory.

Monday’s agenda featured two Media Marketplace sessions orchestrated by Visit NC’s PR team. Representatives from approximately 60 destinations, attractions, accommodations, and organizations seized the opportunity to pitch news and story ideas to 17 travel writers, editors, and producers from key in-state outlets, as well as regional, national, and Canadian publications. Additionally, Visit NC’s Veda Gilbert and DCI’s Anna Rossetto collaborated with Visit Greenville on an immersive itinerary spotlighting Greenville’s culinary scene, downtown ambiance, and outdoor adventures. The familiarization tour extended with the Washington TDA and Visit Edenton hosting select writers for overnight stays in their respective destinations.
