Spring in Washington, DC is set to be an unforgettable season with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, WorldPride 2025, new culinary hotspots, and major sporting events.

From March to June, the nation’s capital will host millions of visitors for flower-filled festivities, Pride celebrations, and exclusive hotel and restaurant deals.

Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom

The National Park Service has forecast peak bloom for the iconic cherry blossoms from March 28-31, 2025. The best viewing areas include:

• Tidal Basin (near the Jefferson Memorial and MLK Jr. Memorial)
• National Mall (near the Lincoln Memorial)
• U.S. National Arboretum
• East Potomac Park and Hains Point Loop Trail

The National Cherry Blossom Festival (March 20-April 13, 2025) will feature:

• Blossom Kite Festival (March 29) – A vibrant display of kites on the National Mall.
• Petalpalooza (April 5) – A waterfront festival with fireworks.
• Cherry Blossom Parade (April 12) – A lively celebration with marching bands and performers.

WorldPride 2025: A Historic LGBTQ+ Celebration

From May 17 to June 8, 2025, Washington, DC will host WorldPride, a global LGBTQ+ festival marking 50 years of Pride in the capital.

According to Destination DC, the event will draw over 3 million attendees and feature:

• Opening Concert with Shakira
• Music Festival with Jennifer Lopez
• International March & Rally (June 7-8)
• DC Black Pride and Human Rights Conference
