WebBeds joins forces with BeCause to boost eco-certified property listings

WebBeds, the global platform that offers accommodation ground product distribution services to the travel industry, has entered into a partnership with BeCause to furnish WebBeds users with certified sustainability information about its hotel partners.

As a multinational entity, WebBeds understands the significance of global corporate responsibility and is committed to diminishing its environmental impact by promoting eco-conscious and sustainable travel practices.

In collaboration with BeCause, a sustainability technology startup that is revolutionizing how companies in the hospitality, travel, and tourism sectors manage their sustainability data, WebBeds aims to expand the number of properties labeled as ‘eco-certified’ on its booking platforms.

BeCause will empower WebBeds to automatically match hotels in its database with those possessing credentials from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GTSC), which currently recognizes 49 standards. Individual properties meeting the GTSC criteria will be identified as eco-friendly on WebBeds’ booking platforms, allowing travel trade partners to make reservations for environmentally-conscious travelers in alignment with their sustainability values.
