In an ambitious move to redefine luxury ecotourism, NEOM, Saudi Arabia’s sustainable region in the northwest, has introduced Zardun, a breathtaking sanctuary resort. This development, announced by the NEOM Board of Directors, is set to blend modern luxury with the natural environment in a groundbreaking way. Zardun is part of NEOM’s coastal asset series, contributing to the expansive development across this innovative region.

Perched on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, Zardun is not just a resort but a nature-integrated haven. It boasts four ultra-luxury signature buildings that harmonize with the scenic landscape. With its focus on environmentally-informed luxury, Zardun aims to set a new standard in premium ecotourism experiences.

Spanning four square kilometers, Zardun presents a restored ecosystem rich in native flora and fauna. From mountain ranges to the seafront, its splendor greets guests upon their arrival at the cutting-edge experience centre, equipped with a 360-degree observation deck.

The resort features three distinct boutique hotels, totaling 100 rooms and suites, each echoing a sustainable future. Guests can choose from diverse themed hotels, offering experiences from valley views to seaside vistas.

Beyond its luxurious accommodations, Zardun offers a range of activities. These include trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and leisure pursuits like stargazing, meditation, and yoga. Additionally, educational programs on nature conservation and re-wilding will engage guests in environmental awareness.

Zardun’s commitment to sustainability extends to creating oases for habitat support, reintroducing native wildlife, and nurturing tree and plant species. Its coastal strategy focuses on preserving the marine ecosystem, including coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba, underlining NEOM’s dedication to environmental conservation.

Zardun joins other prestigious projects like Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, and Aquellum in the Gulf of Aqaba, all emblematic of NEOM’s pledge to sustainable and responsible tourism.
