WINTER WONDER: Four Seasons Minneapolis expands 5-month celebration with exciting activities

As the Five-Month Winter Celebration continues at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, the establishment is unveiling a series of outdoor adventures to enhance the Nordic Village dining and shopping experience, the guided sauna journey at The Spa, and the unique fusion of Mediterranean and Minnesota vibes at Mara. Furthermore, to ensure guests stay warm and comfortable during their chosen activities, the Hotel will soon provide a range of winter wear on loan from Canada Goose.

Florian Riedel, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, expresses the team’s belief in winter and community, stating, “Inviting guests to partake in these seasonal events and outdoor adventures is another way we can bring people together and showcase the beauty of our home state. When you stay with us, you’ll get the best of both worlds: adventure by day and city by night.”

Winter Wonders: Outdoor Adventures in the Area

Guests are invited to indulge in a variety of seasonal activities best experienced in Minnesota, including ice fishing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, curling, and more. Some favorites recommended by the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis team, all within 45 minutes of the Hotel, include:

  1. Ice Fishing on Lake Minnetonka: Experience the glamping version of ice fishing with RĒL Fishing on Lake Minnetonka, providing all the comforts for a stylish fishing adventure.
  2. Nordic Skiing with The Loppet Foundation: Enjoy cross-country skiing at Theodore Wirth Park, home to world-class trails and the upcoming COOP FIS Cross-Country World Cup in February.
  3. Snowshoeing at Fort Snelling State Park: Explore the tranquil beauty of winter and the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers on a snowshoe excursion.
  4. Curling at Frogtown Curling Club: Experience the unique sport of curling, played not only for skill but also for post-game socializing, at the Frogtown Curling Club.
  5. Snowmobiling the Northwest Trails: Cover a diverse range of terrain just north of the Twin Cities on snowmobiles and enjoy the natural landscape.
  6. Ice Skating at the Guidant John Rose MN Oval: Skate at the largest refrigerated outdoor rink in North America, offering figure skating, speed skating, and pond hockey.
  7. Ice Skating at Centennial Lakes Park: Enjoy ice skating in the charming 24-acre Centennial Lakes Park, complete with skate rentals and nearby restaurants.
  8. Snow Tubing at Buck Hill: Have family-friendly fun tubing at Buck Hill, known for training Olympic skiers.

Winter Wear from Canada Goose

In a new collaboration with Canada Goose, a leading maker of luxury performance apparel, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis will provide guests with a selection of jackets on loan in 2024 for a complete winter experience. Winter apparel, available in various colors and styles, will be on display from guests’ arrival, as Hotel employees at the entrance and Nordic Village will be outfitted in Canada Goose parkas. Guests interested in experiencing winter to the fullest are invited to contact the Hotel’s Guest Experience team with their requests for the New Year.

Winter Weekends in Nordic Village

Nordic Village, a collection of cedar cabins on the Hotel’s fourth-floor alfresco space, is open for dinners, private events, and buyouts Wednesdays through Sundays until March 31, 2024. Local shopping is also available on winter weekends through January 28, 2024. Designed and decorated by MartinPatrick3, Nordic Village offers a unique experience, and those dining there can enjoy seasonal savings on an overnight stay, with suites including a bottle of Dom Pérignon. Reservations are available one month at a time on Tock.

Winter Wellbeing: A Guided Sauna Experience

Adjacent to Nordic Village, The Spa introduces a guided sauna experience in collaboration with Cedar and Stone Nordic Sauna. This 75-minute service is tailored for each guest, focusing on their unique wellness goals.

Winter Warmth at Mara

Mara, named Restaurant of the Year in its first year open, offers a menu and staff that warm up every encounter. Seasonal events include two meals on Christmas Eve, all-day dining on Christmas Day, a four-course New Year’s Eve dinner, a new prix-fixe menu for New Year’s Day, and the signature event – A Winter’s Table – during The Great Northern Festival on February 1.
