Thailand’s rich cultural traditions and refined culinary craftsmanship have been brought together through a new Mid-Autumn mooncake collection unveiled at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. The 2026 Reflections of the River collection has been inspired by the Chao Phraya River and has been created to celebrate family connections, heritage and the artistry of Cantonese cuisine.

The exclusive collection has been developed by Executive Chinese Chef Tommy Cheung of Yu Ting Yuan, the Michelin-recommended Cantonese restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. Through carefully crafted flavours and a river-inspired presentation, the collection has been designed to reflect the balance, precision and refinement associated with Cantonese culinary traditions while highlighting Bangkok’s unique sense of place.

How Has The Chao Phraya River Inspired This Luxury Mooncake Collection?

The Chao Phraya River has been placed at the heart of the 2026 mooncake collection, serving as a symbol of continuity, connection and movement. Flowing alongside the hotel and through Bangkok, the river has provided the inspiration behind both the design concept and the emotional meaning of Reflections of the River.

The gift box presentation has been created to reflect the character of the river that has shaped Bangkok’s story for centuries. The design has been developed around the idea of connection, mirroring the way the Mid-Autumn Festival brings families and friends together through shared traditions and meaningful experiences.

At Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, the collection represents a combination of cultural storytelling and hospitality excellence. The river’s influence has been reflected not only through the packaging but also through the overall philosophy behind the collection, where tradition and contemporary creativity have been carefully balanced.

The Mid-Autumn Festival has long been associated with togetherness and the mooncakes have been presented as an expression of those values. Whether shared at family gatherings, offered as gifts or enjoyed during quiet moments, the collection has been created to celebrate connections and memories.

What Makes The 2026 Mooncake Collection A Unique Culinary Experience?

The 2026 collection features five distinctive flavours that combine traditional Cantonese favourites with contemporary interpretations. Each creation has been carefully prepared to showcase different textures, tastes and cultural influences.

The Lotus Paste with Salted Egg Yolk mooncake has been presented as a timeless classic. Silky lotus seed paste has been combined with a golden salted egg yolk to create a traditional flavour associated with Mid-Autumn celebrations.

The Durian with Salted Egg Yolk mooncake has been introduced as a bold and indulgent option. The creamy richness of durian has been paired with the savoury depth of salted egg, creating a distinctive combination.

The Mango Pine Nuts mooncake has been designed as a tropical-inspired creation. Sweet mango purée has been blended with roasted pine nuts to provide brightness and texture.

The Custard with Salted Egg Yolk mooncake has offered a modern interpretation of mooncake craftsmanship. A smooth custard filling has been complemented by a savoury centre, creating a balanced flavour profile.

The newest addition, the Thai Tea mooncake, has been created as a tribute to one of Thailand’s most recognisable flavours. Warm tea notes and subtle spice elements have been incorporated into traditional mooncake techniques, creating a flavour that connects Cantonese heritage with Thailand’s local identity.
