Chinese New Year

On February 2nd, the dazzling light display at Weishan Lake Honghe Wetland Scenic Area in Tengzhou City, located in China’s Shandong Province, marked the commencement of celebrations for the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities. This captivating light exhibition, centered around the Chinese zodiac’s symbol, the dragon, in honor of the Year of the Dragon, will continue its enchantment until February 26th. The entire resort has been adorned with exquisite themed lanterns, spanning four key areas: “starry sky,” “Classic of Mountains and Rivers,” “Dragon Soaring Prosperity,” and “Space Exploration.”

To enhance the experience and infuse cultural richness into the event, the resort has planned nine engaging activities, including folk arts displays, exhibitions showcasing intangible cultural heritage, special performances, and delectable local specialty food feasts. These activities are designed to create an interactive and enjoyable atmosphere for both local residents and visiting tourists.

This spectacular light show aims to provide entertainment and joy to the community and visitors alike during this festive season. Additionally, it serves as an opportunity to increase awareness of the city’s ecological tourism and cultural offerings through the mesmerizing visual display.
