Travel to Thailand is being given a stronger community purpose as Four Seasons Koh Samui prepares to host its annual cancer fundraising run at Nathon Pier. The Cancer Care Charity Fun Run will return on 26 September 2026, bringing residents, visitors and local businesses together for a cause linked directly to patient care.

Funds raised through the Koh Samui community event will be directed to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer under the Thai Red Cross Society. By connecting hospitality, participation and philanthropy, the event shows how tourism-led engagement can be channelled into practical breast cancer support in Thailand.

Nathon Pier Set for Sixteenth Annual Charity Run

The Cancer Care Charity Fun Run is being staged for the sixteenth year, with Nathon Pier again selected as the venue. Two-, five- and ten-kilometre routes will be provided, allowing participants to run, jog or walk according to their preferred distance. Registration is scheduled to begin at 5:00 am, while the event itself is due to start at 6:00 am. A participation fee of THB 500 per person will be charged, with an event T-shirt and breakfast box included.

The Thailand charity run is being organised by Four Seasons Koh Samui in association with The Thai Red Cross Society. Its format has been designed around broad community participation rather than a single competitive race. A lucky draw will also be held, with vouchers from other Four Seasons properties, along with dining and spa experiences, being offered among the prizes available to participants on the morning during the fundraising community programme.

Proceeds to Support Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer

Proceeds from the 2026 run will be donated to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital under the Thai Red Cross Society. The money is intended to contribute to improvements in facilities and the purchase of medical equipment used to support breast cancer patients. Through that funding purpose, breast cancer support in Thailand has been placed at the centre of the event.

The Koh Samui community event has been built around collective participation, with support being drawn from residents, local businesses and visitors. Jasjit Assi, General Manager, said the run had always been about the power of community. He explained that although people were brought together by Four Seasons, meaning was given to the event through the generosity and involvement of those taking part. Continued commitment to cancer care was also described as a source of pride for the resort and its wider local community.

Community Participation Remains Central to the Event

Evidence of that community backing was recorded in 2025, when 1,158 participants joined the run and more than THB 700,000 was raised. Those figures were presented as a reflection of the continuing commitment shown towards cancer care on the island. The annual event has therefore been sustained not only by the resort, but also by the people and organisations that have continued to participate.

A competitive feature will again be included in 2026. The first-place finisher in the ten-kilometre category will be awarded the Queen Suthida Cup. The distinction has been added to a morning that remains centred on participation and collective support. Although the Thailand charity run includes timed distances and a leading award, its fundraising purpose remains central. By retaining accessible route options alongside the ten-kilometre category, the Cancer Care Charity Fun Run is being presented as an event in which different levels of participation can be accommodated.

Four Seasons Charity Programme Extends Beyond Koh Samui

The 2026 fundraiser is also being positioned within a longer Four Seasons record of cancer-related charitable activity. Since 1981, charitable events in different formats have been hosted by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts around the world. In Thailand, that commitment has been continued through charity runs organised by Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Koh Samui.

Across the three Thai properties, charity runs have been conducted for the past 22 years, and more than THB 41.7 million has collectively been raised for cancer research projects. The latest Nathon Pier event will continue that established programme while retaining its local character. For the hospitality sector, the initiative is notable because a resort-led gathering is being used to connect guests, residents and businesses with a defined charitable beneficiary. The fundraising objective, participation structure and beneficiary have all been identified ahead of the September event.

Hospitality-Led Support Returns to Koh Samui

As the 2026 event approaches, Four Seasons Koh Samui is again being placed at the centre of a community-led fundraising effort with a defined medical purpose. The Cancer Care Charity Fun Run will combine accessible participation, local involvement and hospitality support at Nathon Pier, while proceeds will be directed to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer.

The wider record of fundraising across Four Seasons properties in Thailand also gives the event established context. Most importantly, the Koh Samui community event will continue to translate participation into breast cancer support in Thailand through facility improvements and medical equipment for patients.
