The move gives travellers more chances to see dramatic fjords, coastal villages and natural landmarks because demand for immersive Norwegian fjord cruises remains strong among guests seeking deeper Northern Europe experiences.

Holland America Line is strengthening its 2027 Northern Europe cruise programme with newly enhanced itineraries for five seven-day voyages aboard Rotterdam. The updated sailings have been redesigned to include more of Norway’s iconic fjord landscapes, allowing guests to experience additional destinations and scenic waterways that rank among the country’s greatest natural attractions.

The revised voyages place a greater emphasis on immersive fjord exploration. Instead of focusing only on traditional port visits, the itineraries now combine visits to well-known Norwegian towns with extended scenic cruising through spectacular fjords. This approach gives travellers the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, peaceful villages and dramatic coastlines throughout their journey.

Among the biggest additions are the ports of Flåm and Hellesylt, both recognised as two of Norway’s most desirable cruise destinations. Their inclusion expands the range of experiences available to guests while offering direct access to some of western Norway’s most breathtaking scenery.

Flåm sits deep within Norway’s fjord country and is famous for its tranquil surroundings, steep mountain valleys and spectacular landscapes. The village has become one of the country’s most visited cruise destinations thanks to its combination of natural beauty and easy access to some of Norway’s most celebrated outdoor attractions.
