Accor signs brand new Tribe property in England

Recognised hospitality group Accor Hotels have signed an all-new Tribe hotel property in England. This new hotel will be the second-ever Tribe property in the U.K. Construction of the property is scheduled for later this year and development is expected to complete within two years. However, the construction is subjected to postponement due to potential restrictions related to COVID-19. The hotel would be developed with H3 hotels.

 

 

Thomas Dubaere, COO, Accor Northern Europe said in a press statement that the present development reflects that the U.K. remains a priority long-term global market for development, investment, travel, business, and tourism. Jonathan Haigh, MD, MAG Property and Development Leader for Airport City Manchester further added that the company is delighted that Accor has chosen their scheme for its largest Tribe property to date.

 

 

He also mentioned that the brand is new in the said market and the inclusion is exciting. He said that the company is looking forward to a time when the coronavirus crisis is over. He also expressed that he hopes to be extremely well received by guests. He also hopes that business occupiers of Airport City Manchester and wider region who benefits from the enhanced amenity as well as well airport users for whom the property is exceptionally well located for terminal access.

 

 

Located at Manchester Airport, the hotel will offer accommodation of 412 rooms. It will also feature four restaurant and bar areas, working spaces, a gym and a crew lounge for airline staff.

 

 

The brand plans to open more than 150 properties worldwide over the next five years. There are currently two of these branded properties operating in France, with other target cities being Amsterdam, Dubai, Hong Kong, New York, and London.
