Las Vegas is stepping up its preparations for one of the world’s biggest sporting spectacles as Grand Prix Plaza unveils an action-packed programme of Formula 1-themed experiences throughout August. Designed to build momentum ahead of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2026, the attraction is introducing public celebrations, race watch parties, exclusive promotions and ticket giveaways that are expected to attract both domestic and international visitors while strengthening Las Vegas’ position as a year-round sports tourism destination.
Grand Prix Plaza, recognised as the world’s largest permanent Formula 1 attraction, is transforming August into a month dedicated to motorsport enthusiasts. Located in the heart of Las Vegas, the venue is combining entertainment, interactive attractions and exclusive fan experiences to keep excitement high ahead of the Formula 1 race weekend in November.

The initiative reflects the city’s broader strategy of extending visitor engagement beyond race week by offering immersive experiences throughout the year. From casual visitors and families to dedicated Formula 1 supporters, the programme aims to appeal to a broad audience while encouraging longer stays and increased tourism spending.
One of the biggest highlights arrives on 15 August with the official 100 Days to Race Day Celebration. Running from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., the free public event marks the countdown to the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX with a packed schedule of entertainment.

Visitors can expect live performances, interactive activities, a showcase featuring 100 vehicles, partner exhibits, exclusive giveaways and appearances from F1 ACADEMY drivers. The celebration is designed to bring together motorsport fans, residents and tourists in a festival atmosphere while reinforcing Las Vegas’ growing reputation as a global Formula 1 destination.
The first 100 guests attending the celebration will receive complimentary F1 X admission, while visitors can also test their luck on a giant slot machine offering opportunities to win Formula 1 experiences and Grand Prix race tickets.
Competitive visitors will also have the opportunity to earn tickets to the Las Vegas Grand Prix through the ongoing Summer of Speed competition at F1 DRIVE.
Participants who purchase an F1 DRIVE package can compete for the fastest lap time during August. At the end of the month, the quickest driver will receive two Heineken Grandstand tickets for the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, scheduled for 19 to 21 November.
Eligible participants must be at least 18 years old, follow Grand Prix Plaza on Instagram and register for email updates to qualify for the prize competition.
The initiative adds an interactive element that encourages repeat visits while giving racing enthusiasts the opportunity to compete for one of Formula 1’s most sought-after experiences.
Grand Prix Plaza is also expanding access through targeted promotional offers.
Its Back to School promotion allows active college students to receive Nevada locals pricing on both F1 DRIVE and F1 X by using the promotional code STUDENT when booking online. Visitors must present a valid student identification card upon arrival to redeem the discounted admission.
Business tourism is another key focus. Through the Show Your Badge promotion, delegates attending meetings, exhibitions, conventions or corporate events across Las Vegas can present their event badge at the Grand Prix Plaza box office to receive Nevada locals pricing on attraction tickets.
The initiative recognises the millions of conference delegates who travel to Las Vegas annually and provides an additional leisure activity that complements the city’s established meetings and conventions sector.
Formula 1 fans will also be able to experience race-day excitement through the Grand Prix Sundays series hosted inside the F1 HUB Lounge.
On 23 August, the venue will screen a replay of the Dutch Grand Prix beginning at noon, allowing visitors to relive one of the championship’s key races in a dedicated motorsport environment.
The event includes complimentary access to Formula 1 simulators alongside giveaways for Clark County residents, including Grand Prix Plaza experiences and branded merchandise. Reservations are encouraged as attendance is expected to be strong.
The watch party concept provides fans with another opportunity to engage with Formula 1 outside the traditional race calendar while encouraging repeat visits to the attraction.
Beyond its special August events, Grand Prix Plaza remains open daily, offering visitors a permanent Formula 1 experience in Las Vegas.
Guests can explore F1 X, an immersive exhibition featuring historic racing artefacts, interactive displays and Formula 1 memorabilia. Those seeking a more hands-on experience can race around the expanded F1 DRIVE circuit or unwind at the F1 HUB Lounge, which serves American cuisine alongside Formula 1-inspired cocktails.
As Las Vegas continues investing in sports tourism, attractions such as Grand Prix Plaza are helping maintain visitor interest throughout the year rather than concentrating activity solely around the annual Grand Prix weekend. With countdown celebrations, competitions, family-friendly entertainment and visitor promotions all taking place throughout August, the venue is reinforcing its role as a major attraction that extends the economic and tourism benefits of Formula 1 well beyond race week.
