Ewaa Hotels signals a new Saudi expansion push as brand standards shape its next hospitality move. The group is growing across the Kingdom while protecting service quality, safety and guest experience. As demand rises, Ewaa Hotels signals a new Saudi expansion push as brand standards shape its next hospitality move. The company is targeting more properties in Riyadh, Jeddah and emerging Saudi destinations. However, growth will not come at any cost. Ewaa is checking location, safety, sustainability and conversion needs before signing deals. This strategy explains why expansion and brand consistency now sit at the centre of its hospitality plans.
EWAA Hotels Expands Saudi Hospitality Footprint with 90 Properties and 20 New Projects
EWAA Hotels is strengthening its position in Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing hospitality sector with a broad portfolio of hotels, serviced residences and accommodation brands across the Kingdom. While the company welcomes international travellers, its verified operating footprint remains focused on Saudi Arabia rather than a worldwide hotel network.
The Riyadh-based hospitality group currently reports a portfolio of around 90 properties across Saudi Arabia, supported by a development pipeline of approximately 20 additional projects. Its growing presence reflects wider demand for business travel, domestic tourism, religious tourism and leisure stays across the country.
EWAA Hotels Builds a Wide Saudi Arabia Accommodation Network
EWAA Hotels operates across several major Saudi destinations. Publicly listed locations include Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Tabuk, Taif, Al Khobar, Buraydah, Al Dawadmi, Al Khafji, Sudair, Jazan and Al Jouf.

Ewaa Hotels Targets 200 Properties by 2030 as Saudi Hospitality Expansion Accelerates at FHS Saudi Arabia
Ewaa Hotels is preparing for a major expansion across Saudi Arabia as the local hospitality chain targets 200 properties by 2030, according to Dory Mouawad, Director of Business Development at Ewaa Hotels.
Speaking with Muhammad Ali of Travel and Tour World at FHS Saudi Arabia, Mouawad said Ewaa Hotels is one of the fastest-growing local hotel chains in the Kingdom. The company currently operates 90 hotels across Saudi Arabian cities, with more than 5,500 keys.

The portfolio covers four brands and different hospitality segments. These include Grand Plaza, positioned in the four-star category, Ewaa Express, focused on three-star budget and midscale accommodation, serviced apartments through Al Muhaidb, and a partnership with Warwick.
Riyadh and Jeddah remain the company’s main focus. However, Ewaa Hotels also operates in secondary markets, including Tabuk, Qassim and Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
Mouawad said the company wants to reach 200 properties by 2030, with approximately 50% expected to be located in Riyadh and Jeddah. The remaining properties would be distributed across other parts of the Kingdom.
Brand Standards, Vision 2030 Destinations and New Hotel Partnerships Drive Expansion
Ewaa Hotels established a dedicated business development department around six months ago to pursue properties from investors, owners and developers.

Location remains the first consideration when assessing new opportunities. Mouawad explained that the company prioritises destinations connected with Saudi Vision 2030 and markets receiving greater tourism attention under the national development programme.
The group also prefers partners who understand hospitality rather than developers focused only on real estate or trading.
Maintaining consistent brand standards is another major priority. Mouawad said Ewaa Hotels wants guests to experience the same journey throughout its properties.
Before entering detailed negotiations, the company examines fire, life and safety standards, the engineering condition and sustainability potential of a building, and whether a property can be converted to meet the standards of an Ewaa brand without excessive investment or lengthy work.
Looking towards the final quarter of 2026, Mouawad said the company is also focusing on expanding its customer base, particularly travellers moving into Riyadh from surrounding areas.
With Saudi Arabia targeting 150 million visitors by 2030, Ewaa Hotels is positioning its planned 200-property portfolio to serve rising demand across Riyadh, Jeddah and emerging destinations throughout the Kingdom.

Ewaa Express, Grand Plaza and Al Muhaidb Strengthen the Portfolio
EWAA operates and represents several accommodation concepts within its hospitality portfolio.
Ewaa Express focuses on practical and efficient hotel stays for modern travellers. Properties carrying the Ewaa Express name have been publicly listed in destinations including Riyadh, Abha, Tabuk, Buraydah and Al Jouf.
Grand Plaza Hotels represents another important part of the group, with properties publicly associated with Riyadh and Jazan.
Al Muhaidb Hotels and Residence expands EWAA’s serviced accommodation offering, particularly for guests seeking longer stays, business accommodation and apartment-style facilities.
EWAA’s corporate information also identifies Warwick among brands represented within its broader portfolio.
Makkah Hospitality Adds a Religious Tourism Dimension
EWAA-branded hotel operations also have a presence in Makkah, one of Saudi Arabia’s most important religious tourism destinations.

A separate EWAA hotel platform lists properties including Royal Majestic Hotel and Al Manara Hotel. Royal Majestic is promoted as a four-star accommodation option located close to the Grand Mosque, making the portfolio relevant to pilgrims and Umrah visitors.
This Makkah presence gives the wider EWAA hospitality ecosystem exposure to one of the world’s largest religious travel markets.
Is EWAA Hotels a Global Hotel Chain?
EWAA Hotels should not currently be described as a worldwide hotel chain in the same way as Marriott, Hilton or Accor.
Its verified hotels and residences are concentrated within Saudi Arabia. There is currently no confirmed EWAA-operated hotel network covering Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific or Africa outside the Kingdom.
However, its reported 90-property portfolio and 20-project pipeline show that EWAA has developed substantial scale inside Saudi Arabia. As tourism investment, pilgrimage travel and domestic mobility continue to expand across the Kingdom, EWAA Hotels is positioned to remain an important participant in Saudi Arabia’s evolving hospitality landscape.
Ewaa Hotels is signalling a new Saudi expansion push because rising travel demand is creating room for more hotels across the Kingdom. Yet the company is not chasing growth alone. Brand standards shape its next hospitality move by guiding how new properties are selected, converted and operated. Location, fire and life safety, sustainability, building condition and guest experience remain central to each decision. The reason is clear: Ewaa wants travellers to receive a consistent stay across its expanding portfolio. With Riyadh, Jeddah and other Saudi destinations in focus, the company is linking future expansion with stronger operational discipline and consistency.
