Quark Expeditions Expands Shackleton Club With New Rewards for Polar Adventure Travellers

Quark Expeditions has recently enhanced its Shackleton Club loyalty program to incorporate a more advanced tiered-membership system. Based on expedition history, past guests will now be rewarded for their loyalty with a range of benefits. Founded in 1991 and focused solely on expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic, this company will provide a range of benefits to guests at different membership levels, ranging from Silver, Gold, to Platinum.

Previously, all past Quark Expeditions guests received the same benefits after completing an expedition. Under the redesigned programme, members will advance through different tiers according to the number of journeys they have taken, with each level providing access to additional rewards and enhanced privileges.

The refreshed Shackleton Club builds on existing loyalty benefits by adding more flexible rewards and improved advantages for repeat travellers. Members can now receive enhanced booking offers, shipboard credits, and access to cabin upgrade opportunities, with priority determined by their membership level.

Gold and Platinum members will receive additional benefits, including discounts on selected adventure options. Platinum members will gain the highest level of privileges, including earlier access to cabin upgrades, flexible rebooking options, and savings on pre- and post-expedition packages.

The expanded programme aims to recognise loyal guests while creating a more personalised experience for travellers returning to explore the world’s polar regions with Quark Expeditions.

Under the upgraded Shackleton Club programme, guests can advance through three membership levels based on the number of Quark Expeditions they complete, with each tier offering increased rewards and exclusive privileges.

Silver Membership – Second Expedition:
Guests reaching the Silver level receive benefits such as early access during the booking season, a $750 offboard booking offer, cabin upgrade eligibility 90 days before departure, $150 in shipboard credit, a $1,500 onboard rebooking offer and a $250 referral reward.

Gold Membership – Third Expedition:
Gold members receive enhanced benefits, including early season access, a $1,000 offboard booking offer, cabin upgrade eligibility 90 days before departure with priority over lower-tier members, $200 in shipboard credit, a $1,500 onboard rebooking offer, a $250 referral bonus and a 25% discount on selected adventure options.

Platinum Membership – Fourth Expedition and Beyond:
The highest tier provides premium advantages, including early season access, a $1,250 offboard booking offer, cabin upgrade eligibility up to 150 days before departure, $250 in shipboard credit, a $1,500 onboard rebooking offer, a $250 referral bonus and a 50% discount on adventure options. Platinum members also gain flexible rebooking options and a 25% discount on pre- and post-expedition packages.
