40th International Tourism Fair of Cuba postponed

The organizers announced the 40th International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FitCuba) which was to take place between May 4-9 has been postponed due to SARS Co V-2 coronavirus.

 

Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) announced the postponement of the country’s tourism industry main fair until a new date which will be released in a timely manner.

 

The chosen venue for this edition of FitCuba was  the western beach resort of Varadero and dedicated to Russia as the guest of honour country.

 

The star product of the Caribbean nation is the sun and beach modality on which the event will be focused. The Caribbean is known for its tropical climate and the beauty of its coast.

 

For the leisure industry on the island, FitCuba is the largest exhibition and promotional fair on the island which the business people, representatives of the travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, suppliers and other tourism-related companies attend.

 

Although the expansion of COVID-19 has not yet registered a significant impact in Cuba but the government will announce a series of  measures shortly.
