Air Cambodia has announced the launch of its third weekly direct flight from New Delhi to Phnom Penh on 17 December 2026. This comes after a sharp increase in tourist traffic between the two countries.

The additional Thursday service will join the airline’s existing Tuesday and Saturday operations. As a result, Air Cambodia will operate direct flights on the Delhi–Phnom Penh route three times every week.

The expanded schedule strengthens an important nonstop link between the Indian capital and Cambodia while giving passengers greater flexibility when planning short holidays, longer Southeast Asian itineraries and business trips.

Delhi–Phnom Penh Flights Increase to Three Times Weekly

From 17 December, Air Cambodia will connect Delhi and Phnom Penh every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The additional frequency means travellers will no longer be limited to two weekly departure options. The three-day schedule can also make it easier for passengers to structure different lengths of stay in Cambodia without relying on connecting flights through another Asian hub.

The Delhi-to-Phnom Penh service, K6-761, is scheduled to depart Delhi at 11:30 pm and arrive in Phnom Penh at 6:10 am the following morning.

The return service, K6-760, will leave Phnom Penh at 7:15 pm and reach Delhi at 10:30 pm on the same day.

Travellers should confirm the latest schedule before departure because airline timings can change due to operational requirements.

Airbus A320 to Operate the Expanded Route

Air Cambodia plans to operate the service using an Airbus A320 configured with 170 passenger seats.

The aircraft will offer eight Business Class seats and 162 Economy Class seats, providing two cabin choices for passengers travelling between the two capitals.

The narrow-body aircraft is well suited to regional international services and allows the airline to provide nonstop connectivity without requiring travellers to make an intermediate stop.

The third weekly service will also increase the overall number of seats available on the route, supporting additional passenger flows between the two countries.

Direct Connectivity Could Support India–Cambodia Tourism

The expanded service comes as Cambodia seeks to strengthen its position among Indian travellers looking for international destinations combining heritage, culture, beaches, food and outdoor experiences.

Direct flights can play an important role in this market because they reduce the complexity associated with connecting itineraries. Travellers departing from Delhi will be able to fly directly to Cambodia’s capital and continue their journeys to other parts of the country.

Phnom Penh itself is an important tourism and commercial gateway. The city combines historical landmarks, museums, markets, riverside districts, restaurants and modern urban development.

From the capital, travellers can build wider itineraries covering Cambodia’s best-known cultural and coastal destinations.

Siem Reap Remains a Major Draw for Indian Travellers

Among Cambodia’s strongest tourism attractions is Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor archaeological complex.

The destination attracts international visitors for its monumental temples, archaeological heritage and distinctive Khmer history. Angkor Wat remains Cambodia’s most internationally recognised landmark and is central to many first-time itineraries.

Indian travellers arriving through Phnom Penh can combine the capital with Siem Reap, creating a multi-destination journey rather than limiting their visit to one city.

Cambodia’s cultural links with India may add another dimension to these journeys, particularly for travellers interested in religion, architecture, history and ancient civilisation.

Cambodia Offers More Than Its Famous Temples

The country’s tourism appeal extends well beyond Angkor.

Phnom Penh provides a contrasting urban experience, while Cambodia’s southern coastline opens the door to beach holidays and island escapes. Sihanoukville serves as one of the principal gateways to Cambodia’s coastal tourism region.

Travellers can therefore combine several different experiences within one holiday, moving between historic sites, busy cities, countryside and beaches.

This variety could make Cambodia increasingly attractive to Indian holidaymakers looking for relatively compact Southeast Asian itineraries with multiple experiences.

Additional Flight Creates New Opportunities for Travel Trade

The third weekly frequency also gives travel agents and tour operators more room to develop Cambodia packages for the Indian market.

Having departures on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday creates additional combinations for holiday durations and packaged itineraries.

Travel companies can use the schedule to build city breaks, cultural tours, multi-city programmes and longer Cambodia holidays. Packages can potentially combine Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and coastal destinations depending on the length and purpose of the trip.

The increased frequency could also benefit group travel, corporate journeys and travellers visiting friends or relatives by providing another weekly option in each direction.

Business Travel Could Also Benefit From Expanded Connectivity

The route is not solely significant for holidaymakers.

Direct air links can support business activity by reducing journey times and simplifying travel between major commercial centres. Phnom Penh is Cambodia’s primary economic and administrative hub, while Delhi provides connections with one of India’s largest business and aviation markets.

Three weekly services give corporate travellers more flexibility when scheduling meetings and short business visits.

The availability of Business Class seating also provides an additional option for corporate and premium passengers travelling on the route.

Delhi Strengthens Its Role as a Gateway to Southeast Asia

The additional Cambodia service further expands Delhi’s international connectivity with Southeast Asia.

For travellers across northern India, Delhi acts as a major departure point for international journeys. Direct connectivity to Phnom Penh gives passengers another nonstop Southeast Asian option and can reduce dependence on connecting itineraries.

The late-night departure from Delhi is also designed around an overnight journey, with passengers scheduled to reach Phnom Penh the following morning.

That timing can allow travellers to begin their Cambodia itinerary on the day of arrival, although passengers should account for immigration, baggage collection and onward transport.

India–Cambodia Travel Enters a More Connected Phase

Air Cambodia’s decision to increase the Delhi–Phnom Penh route from two to three weekly flights represents another step in strengthening direct aviation links between India and Cambodia.

Beginning on 17 December 2026, travellers will have nonstop departures every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, increasing flexibility in both directions.

With Cambodia offering major heritage attractions in Siem Reap, urban experiences in Phnom Penh and coastal tourism around Sihanoukville, the expanded schedule could make it easier for Indian travellers to build more varied itineraries.

Air Cambodia is boosting India–Cambodia connectivity with a third weekly Delhi–Phnom Penh flight from 17 December 2026, offering greater flexibility as tourism and business travel grows.

The third weekly flight operated by Air Cambodia between Delhi and Phnom Penh represents yet another move towards better air connectivity between India and Cambodia. Starting from 17 December 2026, the enhanced schedule will enable people to benefit from greater convenience and at the same time boost tourism and other travels to Cambodia.
