Grand Hôtel Stockholm Makes History As Sweden’s Only Two Michelin Key Hotel Again

Grand Hôtel Stockholm is the only hotel in Sweden to be recognized in the 2026 Michelin Guide with two Michelin Stars, and remains so for another year.It is also true to say that Grand Hôtel Stockholm is by far Sweden’s leading hotel within the Michelin Guide Hotel awards, with the exception of five others hotels throughout the entire Nordic countries.

For the second year in a row, Grand Hôtel Stockholm has been honoured by the Michelin Guide for delivering an outstanding hospitality experience defined by exceptional service, distinctive character and consistently high standards. The two Michelin Key distinction recognises hotels that provide an extraordinary stay, combining unique identity, memorable experiences and excellence across every aspect of the guest journey.

The Michelin Key distinction highlights exceptional hotels featured within the Michelin Guide’s global selection. The recognition is divided into three levels, with three Michelin Keys representing the highest distinction available. Properties are evaluated across five core areas, including architecture and interior design, consistency and quality of service, individual personality and character, value for money, and the hotel’s connection and contribution to its destination.

For 2026, a total of 44 hotels across the Nordic region have received Michelin Key recognition. Grand Hôtel Stockholm stands within a particularly exclusive group, becoming one of only five Nordic properties awarded two Michelin Keys.

Grand Group’s sister property, Lydmar Hotel, has also retained its Michelin Key, extending its recognition for distinctive hospitality, strong individual character and consistently high standards. The renewed honours for both properties further strengthen Grand Group’s presence within Sweden’s luxury hospitality sector while maintaining its visibility within the international hotel landscape.
