The island of Hainan has launched a new program for young people from Hong Kong and Macao to explore the island’s natural and cultural opportunities. The 2026 Hong Kong and Macao Youth Study Tour and Exchange Program are key elements of a major youth exchange initiative established by Hainan. Scheduled to run through 2026, the program includes a celebratory opening ceremony in Sanya and a promotional event of the Chinese mainlands “Hainan Night.” The ceremony invited over 200 guests to include school representatives, teachers, students, tour representatives, and even cultural tourism professionals.
