Crucemundo Announces 115 European River Cruise Departures for 2027 with Expanded Seven-Ship Fleet, strengthening its presence across major European waterways. The programme introduces a new Danube vessel, Düsseldorf departures, winter cruises in Portugal and simplified all-inclusive fares, creating fresh opportunities for international travellers, travel agencies and charter partners worldwide.
Crucemundo Expands European River Cruise Operations for 2027
European river cruise operator Crucemundo has unveiled an expanded programme for 2027, introducing more than 115 scheduled departures for individual travellers and groups. The announcement, presented to travel trade partners and media at World Travel Market, outlines the company’s plans to strengthen its fleet, expand seasonal operations and improve accessibility across Europe’s major waterways.
The programme covers the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Dutch Waterways, Danube and Douro rivers. It combines established European destinations with new itineraries, improved transport connections and a simplified pricing structure.
Crucemundo will operate four primary vessels for its scheduled departures while expanding its international charter fleet to seven ships. The additional capacity is designed to accommodate demand from tour operators, travel agencies and organisations seeking exclusive vessel charters.

Four Core Vessels to Serve Europe’s Major Rivers
The company’s scheduled 2027 programme will operate through four vessels, each serving specific European waterways.
The newly introduced MS CruceNova and MS Fidelio will operate on the Danube, connecting travellers with historic cities and cultural destinations across Central Europe.

The MS CruceRio will serve the Rhine basin, including routes along the Rhine, Moselle and Dutch Waterways. Meanwhile, the MS Douro Cruiser will continue operating in Portugal, offering journeys through the Douro Valley.
This fleet structure allows Crucemundo to maintain regular departures while providing additional flexibility for group travel and international charter operations.
The expansion to seven charter vessels also strengthens the company’s ability to serve overseas markets seeking customised European river cruise experiences.
MS CruceNova Introduces Quieter Danube Cruising
A major development for 2027 is the introduction of MS CruceNova, which features an innovative Twin Cruiser design.
Unlike conventional river cruise ships, the vessel separates its engine unit from the main passenger accommodation. This arrangement reduces noise and vibration, creating a quieter environment during navigation.
The ship will begin its inaugural season with two special itineraries. The first is a 15-day journey from Amsterdam to Belgrade, followed by a return voyage from Belgrade to Vienna.

Following these introductory sailings, MS CruceNova will operate 24 scheduled eight-day roundtrip cruises from Vienna.
Departures will take place every Saturday between May and October, providing regular options for travellers exploring the Danube.
Düsseldorf Becomes New Rhine and Moselle Homeport
Crucemundo is also relocating its Rhine and Moselle cruise operations to Düsseldorf in Germany.
The move is intended to simplify international travel arrangements, particularly for passengers arriving through Düsseldorf Airport.
The MS CruceRio will operate 19 departures from the new homeport across three eight-day itineraries.
These journeys will explore the Rhine, Moselle and Dutch Waterways, offering access to riverside towns, historic architecture and cultural attractions.

For travel agencies, the Düsseldorf homeport provides an accessible starting point for European river cruise packages.
All-Inclusive Pricing Simplifies Cruise Bookings
Crucemundo is introducing a standardised fare structure across its core 2027 departures.
The package includes full-board regional dining, a daily beverage programme operating from morning until late evening, and guided shore excursions.
Excursions will be available in English, Spanish and Italian, supporting the company’s international customer base.
According to Crucemundo CEO Alexei Prokhorov, the strategy is intended to give travel agencies and charter partners a dependable product while improving pricing transparency for customers.
The simplified structure should also help travel sellers explain package inclusions and compare itineraries more easily.

Portugal’s Douro River Gains Winter Departures
Another significant development is the introduction of winter cruises on Portugal’s Douro River for the first time.
The new sailings will complement Crucemundo’s established Christmas, New Year and winter programmes on the Rhine and Danube.
Winter departures will offer travellers opportunities to experience regional cuisine, festive markets and seasonal celebrations.
Kristina Plaza, Crucemundo’s Sales Director, said growing demand for Douro itineraries outside the traditional cruising season had encouraged the expansion.
The company aims to develop a year-round European river cruise offering, reducing its reliance on spring and summer departures.
Crucemundo’s 2027 expansion reflects its commitment to accessible, year-round European river cruising. With 115 scheduled departures, seven vessels available for charter operations, improved Danube experiences and new winter sailings, the company is strengthening its international offering while providing travel partners with clearer pricing, greater flexibility and expanded itineraries.
