Cambodia has been urging tourist operators to use digital technology and AI in order to increase the quality of services provided, competitiveness and make the visits smart and safe and enjoyable for visitors. This message was passed during the celebration of World Tourism Day 2026 under the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism”.
The celebration was conducted by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia in association with UN Tourism. It was all about how emerging technologies can change tourism development. Their celebration was organized by His Excellency Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism. Various representatives from government organizations, international experts, tourism companies, development partners, tourism communities and students attended this event at Bayon Era Hotel in Siem Reap Province. There were around 300 guests from various countries.
