Aer Lingus flies high with Irish talent to Oscars

Aer Lingus is excited to declare its unwavering support for Irish talent ahead of the upcoming Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 10th. Building on the success of last year’s Oscars departure reception at Dublin Airport, Aer Lingus remains committed to championing and nurturing the cream of Irish film talent as they gear up for this year’s awards ceremony.

Cillian Murphy, the distinguished Irish Best Actor nominee, embarked on Aer Lingus Flight EI 069 bound for Los Angeles, joined by the crew and production members of the acclaimed film ‘Poor Things,’ which boasts an impressive 11 Academy Award nominations.

With anticipation building for the prestigious event, Aer Lingus takes great pride in ferrying some of Ireland’s finest talents across the Atlantic to grace the illustrious Oscars red carpet. Among the esteemed travelers are renowned cinematographer Robbie Ryan and other talented individuals from Element Pictures, recognized for their outstanding contributions to ‘Poor Things,’ featuring Emma Stone.

Aer Lingus offers daily flights from Dublin directly to Los Angeles, with frequencies increasing to daily during the summer months. This year, the airline expands its reach with 18 routes from Ireland to North America, including a groundbreaking new direct flight to Denver. With over 2.25 million transatlantic seats available, this marks Aer Lingus’s most extensive North American summer schedule to date.
