Following a successful run of the Early Adopter Program, Amadeus has seamlessly integrated Generative AI into its global workforce, harnessing its capabilities across a spectrum of Microsoft 365 productivity tools.

With over 90% of initial adopters at Amadeus now actively utilizing Copilot, the potential of Generative AI to enhance connectivity and value in business operations is vividly demonstrated. Collaborating with Microsoft, Amadeus is driving the deployment of Copilot for Microsoft 365, empowering its workforce with advanced AI capabilities. Having undergone beta testing through the Early Adopter Program (EAP), Copilot is now being rolled out to a broader audience within Amadeus, ensuring widespread access to Generative AI features integrated into Microsoft’s suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.

Employees at Amadeus are already reaping the benefits as Generative AI offers time-saving solutions across various scenarios. From suggesting draft email content tailored to the context of their work to summarizing meeting discussions and incorporating action items, or even optimizing information retrieval from both the web and Amadeus’ internal resources, the impact is tangible.

Wolfgang Krips, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Amadeus said: “We were pleased to be an early adopter of Copilot, further building on our strategic partnership with Microsoft. We know Generative AI is changing travel and we’re already working with Microsoft and Accenture so corporate travelers can use the technology to plan their end-to-end trips. With Copilot for Microsoft 365, our employees can focus on more strategic tasks, while the bot takes care of time-consuming tasks such as drafting emails, summarizing meetings, and searching for information.”

Sean Carey, VP Architecture & Innovation, Amadeus added: “I’ve been using Copilot for Microsoft 365 for a few months as part of the first 300 people at Amadeus to try it. If I’m added to a Teams thread late, I use Copilot to summarize the discussion, it also gives me ideas of topics to bring up. Finally it has saved me time by providing meaningful first drafts for emails, allowing me to focus on more important tasks.”

Amadeus stands out as one of the pioneering companies to embrace Copilot for Microsoft 365 during its early adoption phase. Following a successful trial involving 300 employees, wherein over 90% embraced Copilot for streamlining their daily tasks, the travel technology giant is now scaling the deployment globally, ensuring that employees worldwide can leverage the power of Generative AI.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 combines the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with data in the Microsoft Graph — calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings and more — and Microsoft 365 apps to turn words into a powerful productivity tool. “Copilot for Microsoft 365 offers a promise to increase productivity and creativity and reduce digital debt for every employee. We’re excited to see Amadeus take a meaningful step forward in its journey to become an AI-powered organization. We look forward to seeing the ways it leverages Copilot to drive innovation and growth,” said Jared Spataro, CVP, Modern Work & Biz Apps, Microsoft.
