Ascott greets Kanit Sangmookda as the new country GM

A lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited, exclusively owned by CapitaLand Investment, is quite happy to declare the name of Mr. Kanit Sangmookda as the newly appointed Country General Manager for Thailand & Laos. It’s effective from 1st November 2023.

With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, Mr. Kanit has occupied positions of responsibilities in all the famous international hotel chains like Minor Hotels, Marriott International, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

His remarkable career graph features the following positions of distinction like the General Manager of Malaysia’s Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel, General Manager of Le Meridien Kota in Jakarta and Kinabalu in Indonesia. Also, he worked as the General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Sabah, and has been serving as Starwood’s Regional Director of Revenue Management.

While sharing thoughts on his appointment, Mr. Kanit explained that he is quite satisfied to join the Ascott team and is excited to head the Thailand & Laos region, making a use of his experience and passion for hospitality. He looks forward to contribute to Ascott’s constant success in the region.
