Bihar CM asks improving religious spots and tourist impact places

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has requested the tourism division representatives to progress the all-
religion places and spots of tourist significance in a strategic way. He also said to make preparations to
notify tourists regarding the cultural heritage sites of the state in both Hindi and English languages.


The CM said that Bihar is a place of rich traditional history, practices and inheritance. Hence, he said to
improve the ancient and spiritual places in a calculated way to encourage tourism and eco-tourism.


He said that tourist influx has augmented in Bihar and all preparations need to be made for making the
experience of tourists happy. The CM gave these directions while revising the doings of the tourism
division.


Abhay Kumar Singh, the secretary of the tourism division made a comprehensive demonstration regarding the developments intended to improve the sacred places and other locations in Bihar.


Among the holy and other locations to be advanced comprises the six-storey Gayaji Dham Dharmshala
where there are provisions for 1,100 people, Buddhist stupa at Kesaria (East Champaran), Punaura Dham
(Sitamarhi) and development of the approach way to Vishnupad shrine at Gaya.


Samrat Jarasandh Smarak needs to be built at Rajgir, in addition to improving Odhni dam, Mandar hill guest house/hotel along with setting up of observation tower in the park close to the point intended for the show of light in Banka.
