People in England will be charged penalties of $200, who won’t wear a face mask under new government rules to crack down on the Omicron Covid Variant. Sajid Javid(Health Secretary) urged Brits to get tested, vaccinated, and to wear masks. There are 11 confirmed cases of the variant in the UK, with boosters and second jabs now extending to millions of more Brits to bolster the nation’s vaccine defenses.

Another Christmas lockdown hasn’t been ruled out as last resort to handle Omicron as Sajid Javid said all must “learn to live” with Covid. Masks must be worn in hairdressers, nail salons, banks, and post offices in England under new curbs from 4 a.m. Masks are not required in the hospitality sector, restaurants, pubs, or by law in venues like concerts, cinemas, and theatres.

A first fine will cost $200, a second fine of $400 and a third fine will cost $800 and to a maximum penalty of $6,400.
