By 2024, outbound tourism of Poland to revive to pre-pandemic levels

Poland’s outbound tourism witnessed weak confidence of travelers combined with stringent measures of COVID-19. These shrank the numbers to a fraction of what they were in 2019. Statistics from the eminent data and analytics company, GlobalData, shows that year-on-year, Poland’s outbound tourism has dropped by 62.7%, to just 6.8 million international departures. However, this year, visits from foreign countries are expected to increase as restrictions are now made simplified world over.

The latest report of GlobalData, unveils that Poland’s outbound will definitely recover to the levels of pre pandemic times by 2024, with foreign departures predicted to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 7.9% from 13.2 million in 2022.

Megan Cross, Associate Travel and Tourism Analyst at GlobalData, have said that Poland is a source market that is constantly rising because of its uptake of budget-friendly options like low-cost carriers. The study conducted by GlobalData saw that 65% of the respondents of Poland said yeas to affordability as the prime deciding factor when it comes to where to go on a holiday. In addition, now with digitalized services and products are of tremendous importance when it comes to drawing the Polish market. Around a quarter i.e. 26 percent of the Polish respondents said that they make use of online travel agents when it comes to booking a trip, which was so far the most popular booking method for many.
