Carnival Cruise Lines may reach 110 percent occupancy this summer. The liner carried about three million passengers since the restart of its operations in July 2021.

Carnival Cruise President Chritstine Duffy said that Carnival set the pace for the cruise industry eventually. This is because its first major cruise line returned to fullest guest operations in the entire US.

Carnival Cruise leads the way as it has already welcomed over three million guests who wished to go on cruise vacation.

The economic benefit reaped by the homeports and destinations is also pivotal. Carnival Cruise Line also looks forward to restarting its operations in Australia coming October.

An increase in the number of guests in the fleet testifies the fact that the level of expectation has been met. The cruise line hit the two million guest count milestone in May. It has now hit the three million landmark in less than 75 days with an average of 95,00 guests per week, as mentioned in a statement issues by the company.

The busiest five ports ventured by the Carnival Cruise Line are Port Miami, Port Canveral, Fla., Galveston, Tex., Long Beach Calif and New Orleans, La.

These ports were among the first to start their guest operations and account for 77% of all Carnival embarkations. They also account for a guest total of 2,324,823, mentioned by the company in their statement.

The other homeports that resumed their operations this year and have played a key role in Carnival’s marketing strategy in reaching the three million milestones include the Tampa, Fla., Charleston, S.C., Baltimore, M.D., Mobile, Ala., Jacksonville, Fla., Norfolk, Va., Seattle, San Francisco and New York.

The cruise line’s restart of its three-ship operation to the Pacific Northwest set its largest Alaskan season in motion ever. Also the cruise line sailed from all 14 year round and seasonal homeports.

The Port of Francisco, which is also Carnival’s newest seasonal homeport, strengthened its position as the cruise line embarked more guests than any other of its kind in California.

Overall, in 92 ports across 36 countries, the Carnival ships have made more than 3,000 port-on-call visits. With about 800 visits the cruise line has made the most call on Mexico. Half of these have been to Cozumel.

This made the port the most popular being ventured by the Carnival Cruise. After the Cozumel (385 calls), the other destinations included among the top five are Nassau (320 calls) and Half Moon Cay (155 calls) in The Bahamas, Amber Cove, Dominican Republic (159 calls), and Mahogany Bay, Roatan (123 calls).
