The 17th China Cruise Shipping Conference (CCS17) is gearing up to bring together top leaders from the cruise industry for a series of important discussions on the future of the cruise sector. Organized by the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association, this highly anticipated event will take place from October 17 to October 19, 2024, in the Binhai New Area, Tianjin.

The three-day conference will feature an Industry Leaders session, which is set to be one of the highlights of the event. Executives from major brands, including Royal Caribbean International, Adora Cruises, China Merchants Cruises, Tianjin Oriental International Cruise, Blue Dream Cruises, and 66 Degree Expeditions, will take part in the panel, offering insights into the latest trends and developments in the cruise industry. The session is scheduled for Thursday, October 17, at 2:30 PM.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 9:00 AM on Thursday, will feature remarks from Royal Caribbean Group’s President and CEO, Jason Liberty, along with key government officials and other cruise industry stakeholders. This will be followed by a Policy and Economy Forum at 10:30 AM, where attendees will discuss the economic impact of the cruise industry and the policies shaping its future growth.

Other key events on the agenda for the first day include a closed-door roundtable at 4:30 PM, bringing together local authorities and companies for private discussions on the development of the cruise sector in China.

The second day of the conference, Friday, October 18, will focus on the technical aspects of the cruise industry. The Cruise Construction, Maintenance, and Supporting Industries Forum will take place at 9:00 AM, featuring representatives from international shipyards, classification societies, and industry experts. Discussions on talent development and itinerary promotion are also planned for the day.

In the afternoon, the Cruise Inbound Tourism Forum will explore strategies to boost cruise tourism in China, followed by a Tianjin Cruise Cooperation Roundtable. To celebrate the 18th anniversary of the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association, a special reception will be held in the evening.

On the final day, October 19, attendees will participate in guided tours of Tianjin’s cruise and tourism infrastructure, including visits to the Tianjin International Cruise Homeport and the National Maritime Museum of China.
