A major Korea tourism experience in New York is set to transform Manhattan into a vibrant gateway to Korean culture during the summer of 2026, as the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) brings the It’s Time for K-Culture 2026 pop-up festival to the Korean Cultural Center New York (KCCNY). Running from July 8 through August 22, 2026, the event is designed to introduce visitors to Korea’s unique blend of beauty, food, entertainment, heritage, technology and modern lifestyle.
The festival is being presented at a time when global attention is focused on major international events and cultural exchanges. Through this initiative, Korean culture is being brought closer to international audiences in the heart of Manhattan, allowing visitors to experience different aspects of Korea without leaving New York City.

While the festival will continue throughout the summer, two special activation days have been scheduled in July 2026 to provide visitors with additional entertainment, interactive activities and exclusive opportunities.
The first special event day will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The second activation day will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
During these dedicated event days, visitors will be able to participate in special programming created around Korean culture, travel inspiration and lifestyle experiences. The activities will include interactive games, beauty demonstrations, travel planning opportunities and visual showcases highlighting Korea’s diverse destinations.
The special programming is expected to create a festival atmosphere where visitors can actively participate rather than simply observe. From discovering Korean skincare traditions to planning future journeys, the event will provide multiple ways for guests to connect with Korean culture.
The timing of these special days is expected to encourage greater participation from New York residents and visitors who want to experience Korean culture in an engaging and accessible format.
One of the major attractions during the special event days will be the mini soccer challenge, an interactive activity inspired by global football enthusiasm during the summer season.
Visitors will have the opportunity to test their shooting skills through an on-site target game designed for participants of different ages and experience levels. Successful attempts will allow participants to receive K-Culture themed prizes.
The activity is expected to bring an energetic sporting element to the festival while connecting Korea’s cultural promotion with the worldwide popularity of football. Sports tourism and cultural tourism are increasingly becoming connected, with destinations using major sporting interests to encourage international engagement.
Through the mini soccer challenge, visitors will be able to enjoy a fun experience while learning more about Korean culture, travel opportunities and lifestyle offerings.
A dedicated K-beauty experience will allow visitors to explore the secrets behind Korea’s internationally recognised skincare industry. The showcase will feature products and demonstrations from leading Korean beauty brands supported through Amorepacific.
Participants will have access to complimentary samples and product demonstrations featuring five popular brands: Laneige, Innisfree, Aestura, Hanyul and IOPE. The experience will highlight Korea’s approach to skincare innovation, wellness and beauty routines.
Korean beauty has become one of the country’s strongest global cultural exports, with consumers worldwide showing growing interest in Korean skincare methods, ingredients and product technology.
The festival will provide visitors with an opportunity to experience Korean beauty trends directly while learning about products that have gained international popularity. Availability of samples will remain limited and will be offered while supplies last.
The K-beauty section is expected to become one of the most popular areas of the festival, especially among visitors interested in skincare, wellness and modern Korean lifestyle trends.
Travel inspiration will also play a central role at the festival through the Korea Trip Planner experience. Visitors interested in exploring Korea will be able to discover travel ideas based on their personal interests and preferred experiences.
The personalised quiz will help participants identify the type of Korean journey that matches their travel style. Recommendations will include categories such as K-beauty experiences, Korean food adventures, cultural heritage exploration and luxury travel.
The activity is designed to make Korea travel planning easier for visitors who may be considering their first trip to the country. By understanding individual interests, travellers can discover destinations and experiences that match their expectations.
Participants who complete the quiz will also receive an opportunity to enter a competition for a round-trip flight to Korea. The travel planning experience will also remain available online through the official Korea tourism platform.
The initiative highlights Korea’s efforts to encourage international visitors by providing personalised travel inspiration and practical planning support.
A visual journey through Korea’s most impressive destinations will also be presented through a dedicated tourism video showcase during the festival.
The showcase will feature scenes representing Korea’s diverse travel experiences, including lively urban destinations, peaceful natural landscapes, cultural landmarks and modern attractions.
Visitors will be able to explore the different sides of Korea through immersive video content designed to inspire future travel plans. From advanced city environments to traditional heritage locations, the presentation will highlight the wide range of experiences available across the country.
The video showcase will serve as a window into Korea’s tourism possibilities, encouraging visitors to discover destinations beyond the country’s most recognised attractions.
Through this visual experience, the festival will demonstrate how Korea combines ancient traditions with modern creativity to create a distinctive travel identity.
Beyond the July special event days, the full It’s Time for K-Culture 2026 festival will continue until August 22, 2026, offering a broad range of activities throughout the summer.
Visitors will be able to explore the Glow & Go K-Beauty Zone supported by Amorepacific, where Korean skincare culture will be highlighted through interactive experiences.
The K-Sanctuary PC Bang & Snack Zone will provide visitors with a digital entertainment experience inspired by Korean gaming culture and popular Korean snacks. The area will feature support from the Korea Creative Content Agency New York, Smilegate and Nongshim.
The festival will also introduce late-night Korean horror film screenings featuring the NapRyang series, creating a unique entertainment experience for visitors interested in Korean cinema.
Another major attraction will be the BTS ARMY Madang fan event scheduled from August 1 to August 3, 2026. The event will celebrate the global popularity of Korean music culture and provide fans with a dedicated gathering space.
The summer festival is expected to strengthen cultural connections between Korea and the United States by creating a platform where visitors can experience Korean traditions, entertainment and tourism opportunities.
Located at the Korean Cultural Center New York at 122 E 32nd St, New York, NY 10016, the event will remain open to the public with free admission.
The full festival schedule will operate from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The special event days will provide extended programming with additional activities and experiences.
By bringing Korean culture directly into Manhattan, the festival will provide New Yorkers and international visitors with a unique opportunity to explore Korea’s global influence. The event will showcase how culture, tourism, entertainment and lifestyle experiences are becoming powerful bridges connecting destinations and people worldwide.
