Delhi Metro to launch a ‘DMRC FuNB’ mobile application

Delhi Metro would launch a ‘DMRC FuNB’ mobile application, which would allow Metro users to shop from ‘homegrown’ stores through a virtual mall. The app would also offer features like information through live commentary on nearby areas where Metro train passes through, along with exclusive offers on services, booking cabs, etc.

A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said that the organization is creating a next-generation digital technology platform (DDP) and this mobile application is part of this platform.

The app is expected to provide a lot more safety and suitable offerings to users and create business opportunities for DMRC.

“The users of the digital technology platform and mobile application would also get exclusive value offers. A FuNB mobile application user visiting a partner website through the Virtual Delhi Mall and purchasing products would be provided with benefits such as cash back, apart from loyalty or rewards programme,” said the official.

Besides the virtual mall, the DMRC FuNB application would also have a feature named Tourism Hub, which would give the user access to a “powered tourism experience.”

“Through a single touchpoint on the digital platform, users would be able to make online purchases of goods and services,” the official said. From buying electronics, apparel and grocery to ordering food and booking a cab, buying tickets for events and curated walks to vouchers and coupons, the platform is expected to meet all online requirements in one place.
