Delta is enhancing connections between the U.S. and Italy, relaunching its direct flights from New York-JFK to Venice’s Marco Polo Airport. These flights will be available every day, utilizing a Boeing 767-300 aircraft equipped with 216 seats.

For the first time, Delta will also introduce two flight routes from Venice to Atlanta, reinstating a direct service later this month and adding an additional flight for the summer period. Throughout the peak season, Delta plans to offer 17 weekly flights connecting Venice with the U.S., providing access to over 200 destinations in North America and beyond.

“As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice is hugely popular with U.S. travelers, and our flights bring valuable tourism and trade opportunities to the city and the region as well as unrivalled opportunities for Venetians looking to explore destinations across the Americas,” said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India. “We’re glad to offer customers increased choice this summer with flights from New York and additional service from Atlanta.”

Camillo Bozzolo, Aviation Development Director of the SAVE Group commented: “The resumption of Delta Air Lines connections to the hubs of New York and Atlanta confirms the constant growth of flows between Venice and North America, which with over one million passengers in the last year have largely exceeded the volumes of 2019.” He added, “The increase to 10 weekly frequencies on the Venice-Atlanta route will further expand the offer of destinations in connection with North, Central and South America.”

Travelers can select from four different service levels, including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and the Main Cabin. Delta One passengers will enjoy the luxury of a lie-flat seat and high-end amenities such as soft bedding made from recycled plastic, an expanded selection of drinks, and a four-course meal designed by a seasonal chef. Those in Delta Premium Select will appreciate the extra room, with wider seats, more recline, and adjustable foot and leg rests. Every passenger can take advantage of a broad range of in-flight entertainment, Wi-Fi connectivity, and complimentary mobile messaging.

In line with Delta’s $12 billion investment in airport facilities, frequent travelers will benefit from new premium lounges at New York-JFK and other key U.S. locations like Boston and Los Angeles, enhancing the overall travel experience. Upgrades at JFK’s Terminal 4 will further facilitate smooth transitions for connecting passengers, offering easier access to over 60 further flights.

Delta’s summer 2024 flight schedule for the New York JFK to Venice route, conducted in partnership with European allies Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic, is as follows:
