Eurowings is enhancing its winter schedule from BER with the addition of an appealing destination just in time for the winter season. The airline now operates two weekly non-stop flights to Tromsø in northern Norway, often referred to as “the capital of the Arctic.” These flights, facilitated by an Airbus A320, take place every Thursday and Sunday, with a flight time of three hours.
Departing from BER at 7:55 am every Thursday, the aircraft arrives at Tromsø Airport at 10:55 am. The Sunday flight departs in the afternoon, taking off from BER at 3:35 pm and landing at 6:35 pm. Return flights from Tromsø are scheduled for Thursdays at 11:45 am and Sundays at 7:25 pm.
Situated 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø is the largest city in northern Norway. Serving as the gateway to the Arctic Ocean, the city is surrounded by stunning fjords and snow-capped peaks, making it an ideal starting point for Arctic exploration by boat. Tromsø’s unique location beyond the Arctic Circle offers enhanced opportunities to witness the mesmerizing northern lights. Notable attractions in Tromsø include the Arctic Cathedral and the Polar Museum.
Eurowings operates flights from BER to over 30 destinations throughout the year. With the introduction of Tromsø, the airline is further expanding its Northern Europe and winter services at the capital airport. In addition to Tromsø, Eurowings provides direct connections to Copenhagen, Helsinki, Gothenburg, and Stockholm. Commencing from December 23, the airline is set to launch a new route to Innsbruck, Austria, and will introduce Rovaniemi in Finland as another Northern European destination starting January 13, 2024.
