Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel Welcomes Adrian Rudin as Managing Director

Dusit International, a prominent hotel and property development company in Thailand, has named Mr. Adrian Rudin as Managing Director for two eagerly awaited properties in its esteemed portfolio: the revamped flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel and the ultra-luxurious Dusit Residences.

Both properties, set in the heart of Bangkok opposite Lumpini Park, are part of Dusit’s major project, Dusit Central Park. This visionary mixed-use development will include a modern office tower, upscale shopping mall, and a vast public rooftop park, transforming the area where the iconic original Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel once stood.

Anticipated to make its grand opening in the middle of 2024, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok is a modern take on the city’s most imposing structure, which originally graced the Bangkok skyline in 1970 and was known for housing the most exquisite ballroom in the city. The revitalized hotel is a monument to this legendary heritage.

The new Dusit Thani Bangkok, which will have an iconic golden spire atop its 49 stories, will be a multipurpose venue with a range of dining, spa, and event spaces. Among them is an amazing rooftop ballroom with expansive views of Lumpini Park. All 257 of the hotel’s well-appointed, roomy guest rooms and suites offer stunning views. Dusit Residences, set to open in early 2026, will seamlessly blend luxury, comfort, and convenience.

Mr. Rudin, a Swiss national with over three decades of experience in leading luxury hotels, has held key positions at esteemed establishments like Shangri-La and Kempinski Hotels, including roles such as Hotel Manager of Shangri-La Singapore and Opening General Manager of Shangri-La properties in Abu Dhabi and Beijing. Prior to joining Dusit, he has served as General Manager of Sindhorn Bangkok Kempinski and Vice President of Operations for China and Southeast Asia at Kempinski Hotels.

Mr. Rudin holds an Advanced Certificate in Hotel Management from SHL (Schweizerische Hotel Fachschule Luzern) and an Executive Education certificate from Cornell Hotel Management School at Cornell University, New York.
