Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced that Egypt welcomed 15.78 million tourists in 2024, marking a historic achievement for the country’s tourism sector.

During a government meeting, Madbouli stressed the vital role of tourism in strengthening the national economy. The state aims to attract 30 million visitors annually, positioning Egypt as a top global destination.

The announcement followed a report from Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, outlining key trends in inbound tourism throughout the year.

Data from the first half of the 2024-2025 fiscal year, covering July to December 2024, showed a significant increase, with 8.7 million tourists arriving in Egypt.
